Question about deleting repositories and files
We have Vault 3.5.0. If we delete a repository or files from the admin tool or client tool, does this mean those files/repository are gone forever from the SQL database itself? Is there any way to recover them besides going back to the SQL database backup?
If you delete a file or folder from your repository but do not obliterate it, that item is still in the database. You can recover it by right clicking on the parent folder and choosing Properties. The properties dialog has a deleted items tab and you can undelete from there.
If you delete the repository, that repository is gone. If you obliterate any item, that too is gone from the database. You would need to restore a backup if you needed to recover any of this data.
