The SOS client crashes when getting by label or the client is unable to do a get by label and the log file shows: "unable to get file by label"
You may or may not be able to get the label with the SourceSafe client.
The cause is most likely minor database corruption. Because SOS accesses the VSS database via the VSS automation component, SOS is more sensitive to database corruption than VSS, and a problem would be more evident in SOS.
We recommend running VSS Analyze utility with the -f and -c parameters.
