Using SOS 4.2 on both the client and the server, with a fresh install of Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard), and a fresh install of SOS 4.2 (PPC), I am able to startup, enter the server and port, and then the username and password, but after hitting OK, the program crashes, and dumps the following to the terminal window:
The program 'sos' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'.
(Details: serial 7233 error_code 8 request_code 152 minor_code 4)
(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
Any thoughts on a possible workaround? We are trying to move to Xcode 3.0 as rapidly as possible, so having a source control solution is always a good idea.
Thanks,
Bill Lowrey
Crash after username and password on Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

Bill:
There seems to be a problem with the new X server found in Leopard. Earlier versions of OS X are unaffected. From what we understand a patch for this is in the works.
In the meantime, start X11.app. From the X11 -> Preferences -> Colors. Change the Colors to "Thousands". Restart the X server (reboot if needed), start the X server (verify it is using the correct color scheme) and re-try SourceOffSite 4.2.
