VS2003 Integration problem

Post by swautier » Thu Oct 18, 2007 3:29 pm

Env.: Vault 4.0.4

Hi All,

I'm currently switching from VSS to Vault. Import of VSS DB into Vault worked like a charm.

But now, I have this VS2003 solution which has bindings with VSS. How can I point it to Vault?

I have checked the 'Make Vault your default SCC provider' option in Vault client and restarted VS2003.

I've even tried to manually delete scc bindings in my .sln and .vcproj files (+ delete .vss* files), to no avail: Adding to SourceControl again yields the VSS login dialog.

Any help very welcome.
TIA,
Serge.

Linda, thanks for the link.

I unbound the solution and project files from VSS successfully.
Unfortunately, whenever I click the 'bind' button in the Change Source Control dialog, it's always the VSS login prompts that comes back instead of a Vault window.

I have saved everything, got ridden of all .vss* side files, checked files back in Vault. Restarted VS2003. I checked the 'Make Vault your default SCC provider' in Vault Client. To no avail: VS2003 still thinks VSS is his friend :-(

Any idea to help me is very welcome.

TIA,
Serge.

There must still be some binding information in the files.

It might be a good idea to do a remote assist session so we can take a look at what's going on.

Contact support at sourcegear.com ATTN: Linda and we'll set something up.
