Vault Server version (4.0.4) is not Up

Post by mshaikh » Fri Aug 17, 2007 4:39 am

Hi Support Team,
I have installed Vault server V 4.0.4 on my Windows 2003 Server. I was able to successfully install it however, i was not asked for the demo license key that i requested from the site.
After going to Start -> Programs -> SourceGear Vault
I could only see Admin Web Client option and nothing else.
I dont think my Vault Server is Up..
Also the Admin Web Client page gives an error saying : Page cannot be displayed.

Please help.

Thanks,
Mohyuddin

Have you seen this troubleshooting guide yet? Does it help?

I have gone through the guide. I was able to get complete Step 1 by hitting the URL: http://localhost/VaultService/
I also tried this: http://localhost/VaultService/serverInstall.html but this did not work with error Page cannot be displayed.
I was not able to complete step 2.

Can you please give more information about the error that you see when attempting to to load the VaultService.asmx page?

Please see the attached screen shot for the error.

I have also attached the screen shot of the IIS config of the server.

Your error.bmp screenshot reports "Could not find server or DNS error". Unfortunately, you've maximized the screen in such a way that I can't look at your URL. This error means that the web browser could not find the web server at all. Can you verify that you can indeed load the web browser by trying to load some of the other pages on that web site. Is IIS running on that server? Is the service started?

In that case, what does the URL that is failing look like?

Can you show a screenshot of your web services extension page as well? I'm referring to the same as in this article: http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=185.

Thank you Guys. The screen shots send by Beth really helped. My IIS was not configured to run ASP.NET pages. I configured it with the help of screen shots and guess I am done with it.

Thanks a lot....
