Bind / Re-Bind project (not solution) to fortress howto?

Post by Lt.Crunch » Wed Aug 08, 2007 5:24 am

Hi.

I've just started using fortress after using Vault for several years,

I need some help to bind some projects to the fortress repository (not the solution)

I selected "Un-bind" with the "old" Vault plugin within visual studio, and changed to the fortress plugin.

How do i rebind these project into the fortress repository?

The projects is manually added to the repository using the fortress client, and i want to rebind them as i had it with Vault, bound only to projects not the whole solution.

You say the project is already in Fortress?

Is that project a stand-alone thing or part of a different solution? I don't know if you can mix and match under one solution, which is why I ask.

If the project is stand-alone, then unbind it, then close the Change Source Control Window. Changes aren't applied until that window is closed. Then go to your VS Tools - Options and change the Source Control Provider. If you were using a version of Vault below 4.x, then I'd recommend starting with the VS 2003 Compatible Client first to limit the amount of changes happening at one time.

After that, you should be able to go to the Change Source Control and bind it.
