Upgrading From Vault 1.1.2 To Vault 4.0.1

Post by BowneUser » Tue Jun 19, 2007 2:34 pm

Is it possible to upgrade Vault 1.1.2 to Vault 4.0.1? If so, how can I go about purchasing the upgrade and learning how to apply it successfully?

You should be able to do this. I would suggest doing it incrementally. Each Vault version has made changes to the database schema, so upgrading in stages might be more successfull.

The Vault installers for previous versions are available from our downloads page:

http://www.sourcegear.com/vault/downloads.html

Back up your Vault 1.1 database first. Then run the installer for Vault 2.0.6 over the current installation. next, upgrade to Vault 3.0.7, then 3.1.9, then 3.5. Finally, run the 4.0.x installer.

(Note: you might be able to skip some of these incremental steps. but if that fails, try upgrading as suggested.)

Also, be sure your licenses have been upgraded. Your current licenses won't work in any 3.x or 4.x version. Since you are several versions out of date, contact our sales department at sgstore at sourcegear.com for help in upgrading your licenses.

If you run into problems with the upgrade, email support at sourcegear.com for additional help.
