Question on \\MachineName\VaultService

Post by TLEGRANT » Thu May 31, 2007 12:04 pm

The \\ServerName\vaultservice

HTML Display Site is requesting a username and password no one currently knows. I don't think it's ever been used or logged into. What should I do to gain entry?

Is there a default UserID & Password. My company has been using the VAULT product for almost 2-years, but I just inherited the admin role 3 weeks ago and now assembling the puzzle to a picture that makes sense.

Please advise.

Thanks
Todd

Typically, this page does not require any kind of password. It is simply an HTML page for the Vault service.

If you are getting a login prompt, there is some kind of permission issue specific to your machine or IIS installation. Make sure that anonymous access is enabled in IIS.

Also check that the Internet guest user account (IUser\machinename) has full access to the Vault service directory.
