Purging Deleted Files

Post by btd » Thu May 03, 2007 7:06 am

When my develpers delete a file from Vault, I found out its not really deleted just yet. A closer look reveals deleted files show in the 'Obliverate' folder. From here, I can purge from Vault forever.

But is there a way to set up Vault so the files are automatically deleted?
Is there a way to set up a schedule in Vault to Obilerate after a certain period of time?

Thanks

There currently isn't the functionality you are talking about, but if you wish, I can put in a feature request for that.

Yes please add this as an enhancement request.

Also, and are you saying that I must manually purge files?

If so, is there a way to purge all insted of having to manually click each repository?

No, there isn't. I believe the idea behind making it not a super easy thing to do is that we don't want people taking it lightly and just deleting stuff left and right and then deciding they want it back. If you have to go through a lot of obliterates continually, then it could be a case of where the file use, branches, etc., could maybe be a little more efficient so that not so much needs to be removed all the time.

I will put in the request though for something automated.
