Vault status search broken with 3.5.2?

Post by jkewley » Fri Apr 20, 2007 2:29 pm

Searching for Any Status recursively in the 3.5.2 vault client appears to be broken. I have a small repository with one file checked out a couple of folders deep. When I highlight a parent node, I can switch between "Checked Out By" and "Any Status", and the file disappears from the search results. Can someone confirm this?

"Any status" means any status but "blank." If the checked out file has not yet been modified, and its status is "blank," then it won't be on the list of files of "Any Status." Could this be what you're seeing?

If not, what is the status of the checked out file?

I could have sworn that Any Status was the sum of all other drop down options in the "Search By" select box - any file that is not current and checked in. Did I just remember incorrectly?

Maybe. I checked with Vault 3.5.1 and the behavior is the same -- "blank" doesn't show up in a search for "Any Status."
