Post by jclausius » Fri Apr 20, 2007 11:06 am

Hear, Ye! Hear, Ye! We've released Vault 3.5.2.

The installation files can be found on this page - http://www.sourcegear.com/vault/downloads.html

The release notes are in the Knowledge Base, and can also been seen here - Vault 3.5.2 Release Notes.

Our Vault server is currently 3.16 on Windows Server 2003, .NET 1.1, SQL2K.

Is there any benefits (or recommendation) to move to .NET 2.0 & SQL Server 2005 before upgrading to Vault Server 3.52?

You shouldn't need to make any changes there. Do make sure you make a back-up though before performing the upgrade. Also, from 3.1.6 to 3.5.2 is a pay upgrade. It's free for those with current Gold support and you will need to enter new keys obtained from either the website sales area or by contacting our sales department at sgstore at sourcegear.com.

Hi Jeff & the rest at SourceGear,

I've been using the 3.5.2 version for two weeks now, and I am *very* pleased with it. So is the rest of my team.

Performance is better, and every fix you mention in the Release Notes is fixed properly.

You even forgot to mention one: I've noticed you added the ability to "Pin multiple files at once". Very much appreciated, just saved me 10 minutes of work.

Best regards, Tijs Wickardt, Bertus Distributie

Hey Tijs,
I'm sure the folks at SourceGear appreciate your message, but I just wanted to say, so do I. It's been a little too busy here to do the upgrade just yet, but I'm very happy to hear such a positive report on what was a pretty big upgrade (for such a little number :-). It makes me feel more comfortable that when I do the upgrade everything will go smoothly.
