How To Branch a Web Project

Post by hedgefence » Mon Feb 26, 2007 5:52 pm

I'm using vs2003. I have followed the kbarticle "Branching Web Progects". The new webproject file is checking out from the correct directory, but creating a "Renegade" copy in the original project. Do you have updated doc on how to acomplish this?

Thanks

Renegade means the file has been modified, but not checked out.

You may be editing the file from the wrong working directory.

Ok, but what do I do about it?

I create websolution1, check it into vault. Branch websolution1 to websolution2 in the vaultgui. Open the websolution2 from vs2003 and follow the steps in your kbarticle "Branching Web Progects" - changeing source control to bind to the new projects.

Then I have this renagade behavior.

Can you help me solve this?

Which files are Renegade? The solution and/or project files?
