See Whole Project Tree Instead of Ones Granted Rights To

Post by anilk » Thu Nov 16, 2006 3:56 pm

I am using SourceOffSite 4.1.2 server and client. On the server is VSS 6.0d. I have setup a user with rights to just a few projects in a database (and not the root level), yet in the SOS Prof client I see the whole tree. I read somewhere on the forum that VSS 6.0d would correct this - is there something else I need to check or set to fix this?

Thanks,
Krip

I'm looking into this and there's a chance I may have reproduced this the same way. You say you can see the tree. What about the files?

Have you compared this to what you can see in VSS?

I don't see any files that I shouldn't so that part is ok. It's just that all folders are shown - it would be great if they could be hidden.

Thanks for investigating.

What should happen here is that you see the same as if you were in VSS. I can put in a feature request though for hiding the folders.

If I might add, this would be a very powerful addition to your product.
