Can't get Vault/Dragnet integration working

Post by APA » Mon Oct 16, 2006 5:14 pm

I setup Vault's integration with Dragnet and restarted my client but it wouldn't let me select a bug to check in the files against (everything is greyed out).

Yes, I double-checked the Dragnet URL. I tried checking the "Require Bug ID for checkins" option but still nothing.

What else needs to be done to get this working?

In Dragnet Setup, is Vault configured as the source control provider?

It is now and the Update Bugs form controls in the Vault Client check-In dialog are still greyed out.

Well, now it's working. Not sure what actually changed other than I rebooted my server. Also, when "Require Bug ID for Checkins" is not on then Visual Studio won't prompt for a Bug ID. So, is turning this on the only way to enter bug IDs when checking in with VS?

By default, there's no prompt in Visual Studio if a bug ID is not required. You can access the Update Bugs dialog from Visual Studio from the VS checkin dialog. There's an Options icon in the top left corner of the checkin dialog. Click on that and choose Advanced. This will evoke the Update Bugs dialog.
