Greetings,
I just got email notifications working, and I noticed a link to transaction details is the final line in the email messages. I click this link, it prompts for a Vault login, but upon clicking the Login button I get a blank page that list the Transaction #, a bar that says "Vault Error" and red text that says Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Any ideas on what might be causing this (did I forget to enable something)? And what kind of transaction details would I expect to see?
Thanks much!

Email link to transaction details-->object reference erro

The link should take you to a login with the Vault Web client. Once you log in you should see a web-based, read-only view of the repository. The link should specifically take you to that particular item in the repository.
What version of Vault are you using? Could you post a screen shot of the error?

An update: I just sent myself a few more emails and I am able to see these details (great stuff!) for these more recent transactions. I think I just found how to reproduce it:
I have turned Required Check in comments ON.
If a check out comment is supplied, but a check in comment is not, Vault accepts that some comment was supplied, and allows the check in through. It's in this scenario that I get the object reference error; any other transactions where I explicitly provide a checkout comment seems to show up just fine.
Is there some way to promote a check out comment to be the check in comment if the latter is not explicitly supplied?

The checkout comment (actually it's an item comment) is used for the checkin comment under certain circumstances. Details here:

There does seem to be a bug here -- we'll try to reproduce it and log it to our bug database to fix in a maintenance release.
