SOS & Ubuntu 6.06 error with special characters

Installation went flawlessly but the representation of special characters (áéíó,ñ, etc) aren't displayed correctly (a question mark inside a black diamond).

Therefore, Nautilus, inheritates this error and makes it annoying to work with files.
GTK 2.6 problem?

I already sent an email to support@s... but I post it here so anyone can take notice of this.
