BUG with "Keep Checked Out" option...

Post by grosin » Fri May 26, 2006 3:07 pm

I have SourceGear client 3.1.8 (3771). On one of my projects, I like to keep all the files checked out... so when I make changes, I do a recursive check in with the "keep files checked out" option. Problem is, if the time/date has changed, but the file itself has not (like if I unzipped the project source over an older version), it doesn't keep those files checked out...

Check out a project recursively, dirty a file (add a CR and then delete it) and check in with the keep checked out option set and it will leave it checked in. Files that have actually changed work as expected.

I don't want to use the CRC option because its too slow...

Changing the "Check in unchanged files" option also fixes the issue, but it too is too slow...

Thanks.

it doesn't keep those files checked out.
This is a known bug that is slated to be fixed in Vault 4.0, due out later this year.
