Sos speed test! I am so disappointed to the speed of sourceo

My company want to use a tools for project manage and document store,so i want test sos for security reason.

I download the demo version from sourceoffsite website.Here is the result of my test:

client pc:
intel p4 2.8G RAM 256MB windows20000pro sp4 ,Symantec Antivirus software is installed.
server pc
intel p4 2.4G RAM 512MB windows20000pro sp4 ,Kaspersky AntiVirus Personal Pro software installed.

client sos:
sourceoffsite 3.5.3(downloaded from www.sourcegear.com) "Use compression for data transfersation" is turn off
server sos:
sourceoffsite 3.5.3(downloaded from www.sourcegear.com) "Synchronize access to SourceSafe automation com" is turn on.
vss6.0d

speed test result(checked in files):

How can I speed the sos?
I have turn off all anti-virus software on client pc and server pc but no use

These are not unreasonable speeds for SOS. SOS is still 10 - 12 times faster than using VSS over the Internet.

There may be ways to speed up SOS a little more. Review these tips for optimal SOS performance:

You could try using the VSS 6.0c Hotfix version on the SOS Server machine. Our tests have show this version of the Automation Component to be a little faster with SOS than 6.0d.
