Unable to connect to http://localhost/VaultService
I downloaded the VAULT(3.1.8 ) , I instaled it. I have a WinXP SP2 laptop with IIS 5.1, SQL Server Express 2005, VS2003 and VS2005 and Framework 1 and 2. The install completed succesfully. When I tried to login (Username ADMIN, password nothing and Vault Server localhost) I received the follwing error.
Unable to connect to http://localhost/VaultService. No server was found at the specified URL. Please verify your network settings using the Options dialog under the Tools menu in the Vault GUI Client. Web Exception: The operation has timed-out.
I tried to follow some steps through the forum but I cannot resolve my problem.
Can someone help me?
Thanks in advance[/quote]

I assume you're connecting from the Admin Tool or Vault Client on the server machine itself?
If you use a web browser on the server machine to connect to
http://localhost/VaultService/serverInstall.html and
http://localhost/VaultService/VaultService.asmx
What are the results?

Looks like you tried to install before -- did you try the suggestions from this forum post:

Are you trying to connect with the SSL checkbox checked? If so, try unchecking it, if you don't have SSL configured in IIS.
Is your Vault website configured to use port 80 or some other port. If you're using a different port than 80, you would connect to localhost:<port>.
Do you have any security software on you machine that might be blocking the port?

I do not use SSL. I use the default port 80. I have disable windows Firewall. I use McAfee 7. I can load this url: http://VAULTSERVER/VaultService/serverInstall.html,
but I cannot load this: http://VAULTSERVER/VaultService/VaultService.asmx
Why is so complex although I am using in a single pc?
Thanks in advance
ps. The screen captures I have in my previous post are the same.
