Hi there,
I dont know if this is where I need to ask this, but here it goes.
I recently downloaded Vault 3.1.8, installed and configured it to work with VS.NET 2003 for a intranet web application. All of that went fine.
Now we also have a ASP.NET 2.0 web application that we are developing using the "Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2005 Express Edition" and for the life of me, I cant figure out how to enable source control on such a application. I looked in the Microsoft help sections for the Visual Web Developer and it seems like it can work with a compatible source control provider albeit in the plug-in mode (http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms178453.aspx).
But following the instructions in the help article, I could not find the Source Control/Plug-In Selection options under Tools --> Options. This I believe is because VWD does not recognize Vault as the SCC provider. Now, Vault is the only SCC on my dev box and it works absolutely fine with VS.NET 2003. So I dont think it is a matter of configuration. Is there some other setting that I need to enable/disable for VWD to recognize Vault?
Any pointers/suggestions are most welcome & TIA.
Shahnaz.

Microsoft's Express development tools do not support source control integration.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/products/compare/
See the Feature Column->Source Code Control.
Note: All the MSSCCI-compatible products do integrate with Vault.
