Obliterate (Grrrrrr!!

Post by Rippo » Sun Apr 23, 2006 7:24 am

Hi I am having major difficulties trying to obliterate files from the vault admin tool.

I recently moved a couple of folders around in the client and now have old folders that I wish to obliterate. However the admin tool just sits there and does not appear to do anything (waited 3 hours then had to end task as I HAD to reboot machine) .....

The folders in question are repeated in the deleted items list e.g.

$/ABC/XYZ
$/ABC/XYZ

These folders only had a couple of items in them before I moved them around so I cant believe that they would take over 3 hours to delete esp in SQL!

Also I have a few files that I cant obliterate because a message pops up stating that I must delete all branches before I can obliterate the item itself!

The message:--

All branches of an item....... blah blah blah. This item has branches at:

Then nothing! It does not show any branches!

This is pretty frustrating as I really want to obliterate these items!

Is there something I am missing? Is there another way to obliterate these items? Is there a clean up app? I have read several posts and it seems to me that this is a real pain for all of us!

Please advise, thanks Rippo :(
