Vault on shared database server

I am attempting to move Vault (v3.1.1.3506) to a new database server. On this server, I cannot create an SQL User named sgvaultuser.

I am getting the following in the log file:
Could not load connect string. There is probably an error with the encrypted password for the sgvaultuser database user. Contact technical support at http://support.sourcegear.com

Is there a workaround?

The connect string in the Vault Service web.conf file has the encrypted password for sgvaultuser. You can type the password in clear text if you change PWD to PASSWORD in the web.config.

Another option is to uninstall and reinstall Vault, pointing it to the new database location. The install will take care of creating the database user, encrypted password, etc.
