Connect automatically

Post by rebbekka » Fri Mar 03, 2006 9:38 am

How do you "undo" the connect automatically checkbox? Once it is set, I don't see a way to stop it from trying to connect.

This may be related to another problem I am having (cannot log in), but the File | Connect to server menu option is disabled.

I am working in v. 4.0

File | Connect to server menu option is disabled
This is probably because your haven't fully logged in, so this menu isn't available.

You can delete connection information from the registry, under this key:

Code: Select all

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SourceOffSite\SourceOffSite\Settings
Close the SOS Client and delete the "ConnectionX" entry that contains the connection to the server that is hanging.

(Note: I'm just a user like you, not staff.)

FYI, once connected (or an connection error occurs), you should be able to select Connect again from the menu and then uncheck the box. If Connect is greyed out, there may be a connection attempt in progress (especially if Stop Current Operation is enabled...)
