can't unset working folder

Post by Don Robinson » Fri Feb 24, 2006 6:25 pm

Version 2.0.6 (2219)
OS: WinXP Pro SP2

Workstation-specific problem using the Vault UI:

On my regular workstation I can't unset a manually-changed working folder once I want that folder to revert back to the inherited mode. When I right-click the folder, select Set Working Folder and then blank out the contents of Folder, the OK button is immediately greyed-out.

I can go to a colleague's workstation and log in via the UI, using my same username, and everything works OK.

Any ideas on what could have changed on my workstation? This worked a few weeks ago.

There are temporary but annoying workarounds - e.g. manually setting the working folder so that it does what inheritance would do. But that would only work as long as my filesystem arrangement stays unchanged

Are there any hidden files I can modify or remove to restore things? Any settings I should look into?

I believe this this behavior of Vault 2.x clients.

A quick search on this forum shows a couple of work-arounds -
