Source Safe Keyword expansion does not work

When I use the Source Safe's keyword expansion like Author: $ it works fine with source safe. When I use SourceOffsite to check out and check in the files the keywords are no longer expanded.

SourceOffSite doesn't do the keyword expansion itself. It relies on the SourceSafe Automation component (which the SOS Server uses for interacting with the VSS database) to expand keywords. As long as keyword expansion is correctly configured on the VSS database being served by SOS, then it should work. Can you privately email me your srcsafe.ini file for the VSS database you are using with SOS?
