CVS style "variables" in source code

Post by lumbus » Tue Nov 15, 2005 12:09 pm

With CVS, it's possible to insert variables into the source code that automatically get expanded by CVS on commit, such as:

$Id$
$Log$

It can be used to display version number, user IDs, log messages etc directly in comments in the source code.

Is there anything like that in SourceGear Vault?

Thanks!

Sorry, I just found the answer to my question, in the thread right below mine.

In case anyone else was wondering, see this thread:

Thanks.
