link to a good how-to start using vault

is there a doc online that explains the how-to's of the basic operation of using vault with vs2005? I've managed to upload a project using the vault client, and then opened that project from vault by using the open from source control option in visual studio.

But when i do this each form has a little lock icon next to it saying its checked in. But i can still make edits and upload the file apparently. So whats the correct method here? any good begining documents?

thanks

We don't have specific tips yet for using Vault with VS 2005. Feel free to ask questions on this forum. Once we get a feel for what users would like to know, we'll create a KB article or two.

VS 2005 will check out a file and any associated file when you start to edit a file that's not already checked out. Is that what you're seeing?

As long as the file is checked out, there shouldn't be a problem with editing it and checking it back into Vault.

If you're still seeing locks on the files you're editing, let us know.
