Hello,
Running 3.0.2 on both client and server. I would like to integrate an existing VB6 project with Vault. The files belong to the project are currently in vault already. And I do have Vault client integrated into VB6 (in other words, I see its menu items under Tools/SourceGear Vault).
So my questions are as follows.
1. If I try to create a new project in Vault from VB6, I get the following error after logging in:
Server was unable to process request. --> Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
What is the problem here?
2. How do I integrate an existing project into Vault (the files are already in Vault).
Thanks.

The reason for this problem can probably be found in the server log file. Would you mind to send it to me? (Tonya@SourceGear.com) http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=17621. If I try to create a new project in Vault from VB6, I get the following error after logging in:

Are you trying to use Active Directory authentication? Can you log in with the "admin" user?
If you are opening a VB project that has already been integrated in Vault but doesn't already exists on your machine, you should open the project by choosing Tools, SourceGear Vault, Create Project from SourceGear Vault. How do I integrate an existing project into Vault (the files are already in Vault).

There is nothing in the log file. Just login/logout information. I am not using a active directory, just users I setup in vault admin tool. I tried the admin account and that didn't work either.
Regards.
Re: vb6 integration
Ah, figured it out. I upgraded from 3.0.2 to 3.0.7 and it worked.
However, I tried 3.1.0 on another machine and I got the same error. Perhaps, it needs to be upgraded to 3.1.2.
Btw, can I downgrade from 3.1.0 to 3.0.7?
Thanks

Vault 3.1 Client upgrades will convert all of the client cache files to a new format which means that you cannot revert to a pre 3.1 client without losing all your client state information.
Vault 3.0 clients are compatible with Vault 3.1 servers and vice versa.
Please let me know if you upgrading doesn't resolve the problem.
Thanks,
Tonya
