Checkin problems

I'm getting this error now:

[22/09/2005 08:45:29] Beginning transaction
[22/09/2005 08:45:29] Item $/Assemblies/Xception.BaseClasses.UserInterface.dll caused the transaction to fail: An item with the same name or object id already exists in the selected folder.
[22/09/2005 08:45:29] Transaction failed

I know an item with the same name exists - it's the one I checked out previously! Any ideas what to do here?

Check the pending change set. There may be an orphaned "add" operation still sitting there for that file.
