Shadow a folder to a local absolutely-referenced folder

Post by JohnClarke » Wed Aug 10, 2005 4:48 pm

Regarding: http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=188

For Windows 2003 servers without a domain, is it possible to shadow a folder to a local absolutely-referenced folder? I was only able to create shadow with a UNC share address it: "\\myserver\myshadows\myshadowedapp". I'd rather have: "c:\myshadows\myshadowedapp".

In Vault 3.1, you should be able to shadow to a local drive with no additional configuration, even on Windows 2003 systems.

What account is being used by the Shadow folder service? Does that account have explicit read/write access to c:\myshadows\myshadowedapp?
