Unwanted file checked in

Post by sford » Wed Aug 10, 2005 9:16 am

Hi,

Can anybody help with the following problem that I've now seen at least twice? The first time I thought I'd done something wrong, but having had it just happen again I thought I'd see whether it was a known problem. Can't seem to find a reference to it already so decided to post it. The problem I'm seeing is as follows:

- I'm using Vault (v3.0.7) from within a VS.Net 2003 C++ solution.
- I right clicked and selected to check in on a project that had 4 files checked out. 2 of the files checked out were the header and resX files for a dialog box.
- In the check in dialog box I unticked the header and resX files and checked in the 2 remaining files (the project file itself, .vcproj, and another header file).
- The check in succeeded, but despite being unchecked, the resX file was also checked in. Its associated header file wasn't, as requested.

The resX is listed as being checked in in the email notification.

Is this a known problem? Is it fixed in v3.1.1?

Thanks,
Steve

I was able to reproduce this problem with both Vault 3.0.7 and 3.1.1. I will get this logged as a bug to be fixed in a future release.

Thanks for informing us of the problem and we will try to get it resolved soon.
