Feature Request
It would be really helpful to include the machine name & path that a file is checked out to in the client UI. In the Check Outs column, it shows the user who checked out the file and whether or not it's exclusive. The problem that I have is that I do dev work from multiple PCs (e.g. at home, at work, on laptop) and sometimes I forget to check files in before changing locations.
This would help me be able to identify where I have the file checked out from so that I can get it back in to Vault and be able to check out from the new location.
If I know that I didn't make any mods to the file in question, I usually just undo checkout on the file to be able to get it at the alternate location, but sometimes I don't know and don't want to potentially lose work.
If there's a feature that I could use that I'm not aware of, please feel free to fill me in...
Thanks in advance,
Jeramie

Machine Name
Thanks for the reply...
The Item column does have the local path, but doesn't identify the machine that the path is on. I have identical working folder structures on all of the boxes I use for development, so that doesn't really help me.
I guess in this case, the place where I wanted to see the machine name would be in that Item column (e.g. [Machine Name] c:\somepath).
Just a thought...
Thanks in advance,
Jeramie

The Pending Change set shows only items from operations by that particular Vault client, so when you see the Item path, it is on the machine you're currently using.
I'll log a feature request to show the computer name for checkouts by the same user on other machines.

Update: One of my colleagues pointed out we already have this feature in Vault. (How's that for fast turnaround of your feature request?)
In the Vault GUI Client under Tools->Options->File List Columns, check "Checkout Location." This will show the path AND the machine name in the file list.
