I am running in cvs-mode (to avoid vs integration bugs) and liking it.
However, do i have to proactively add any new files that are in my working folder or is there a routine to show me/add all new files. It is problematic because edits get picked up by the Pending Change Set dialog automatically but new files don't show up there -- and I tend to leave something out regularly. I don't even know how to get a list of things in the local working folder that don't exist in the vault.
Help?

Best practice for adding files

Vault 3.x has a feature called "Detect New Files to Add" in the GUI client. It's still a manual operation.
This doesn't exist in Vault 2.0.6, though. You could do a folder diff of the local working directory against the repository, which would show files that were not in the repository.
Another workaround would be to evoke the Add Files command on a folder, which would display any files not already in the repository and allow you add them with the same dialog.
