remote access

Post by piotre » Mon Jun 06, 2005 2:59 pm

Hello,
This is a new installation. The latest Vault is running on a Win 2003 server inside the SBS2003 domain, behind ISA2000 proxy. We can work inside the domain without any problems, but I can not find any information how to configure (I guess both the client and a server) connection from outside the firewall.
Any help will be appreciated.
I have done something similar for FreeVCS and it required only to write a ISA protocol and a rule. How to handle the Vault access.
Thanks
Peter

I think that the common way to do this is to create a rule for the firewall which forwards a certain port through to the SSL port on the Vault web server. Is that a good starting point?

But how does the integrated Vault connect?
To write a rule I need a protocol type and a port. For example, FreeVCS uses TCP 2016 as a default.

Vault communicates via SOAP messages through a web service. Open the ports for HTTP which are configured for IIS on the Vault server.
