Project not prompted for credentials anymore

Post by dcaver » Thu May 26, 2005 1:43 pm

I have 2 projects under Source Control. Normally when I open up either one I am prompted for my credentials and the profile to I want to connect with. Starting today when I open up project #1 I am not prompted for credentials. When I try to check out a file I get an error message that basically says “Your source control provider does not support checking out while disconnected from the server”. I’ve rebooted the machine and tried it again without any success.

When I try to open project #2 I am prompted for my credentials and profile as expected and everything works just fine. So, I know I have a connection to the SQL server and the SQL server is running.

Any ideas of what might have happened to the source control on my first project?

It looks like the project was opened in disconnected mode, which it continues to be in until you connect again.

Go to File->Source Control->Change Source Control, and try to reconnect from there, and hopefully everything will be back to normal.

Thanks!

Looks like that did it. I'll send myself this post so if it happens again I can fix it again.
