Is there a document that describes the added features that Vault has over Visual Source Safe. I know one of the biggest differences is that it is database driven and not a file system. This is a big design advantage. But what about from the developer side of the house or the Administrator? What additional features does Vault provide over Source Safe?
A few other questions that comes to mind..
Can I ask Vault to locate all files checked out in a single query?
Is the compare betrween one file versuse another improved?
Thanks
Tom

This KB article is a good overview of the benefits of Vault over VSS.

You can use the Search function in the Vault GUI client to search for files currently checked out by a particular user or All Users.
SourceGear's Diff/Merge tool is pretty good. Everyone has their own preferences on what they need in a diff tool, so we suggest you try our free demo of Vault to see for yourself.
