SourceSafe and VPN

Hi,
We have VPN connection and visual source safe.After connecting to the VPN we are able to access the VSS through network drive and we getting the Latest code of VB.Net from VSS server.But the problem is to open the vb.net solution its taking almost 3 hours.(the vb.net solution having 74 included projects).The Source Offsite will overcome this problem or not please let me know.

That's a good-sized project. We have many customers who use SOS over a VPN because SOS is 10 - 12 time faster than VSS, so it could be a solution for you.
