Visual Studio not refreshing status upon check-in

Post by jbrant » Sat Mar 12, 2005 2:34 pm

I have Visual Studio 2003 (on XP) and Vault client 2.0.6 (2219) and have been experiencing the rather annoying situation where when I check out a file (using the vs interface) the solution explorer will show the correct status (red check mark) but when I check the file in, the status will not change in VS (there will be a little flicker as if it is refreshing but nothing will change on the screen). If I look at the vault client, the correct status is reflected. If I close down VS and re-open, it then shows the correct status. Any idea why this may be happening? Makes it difficult to keep track of where you are with checked in/out.

Thanks,
John

Does your repository have folder security enabled?

My guess would be this is related to the bugs fixed in Vault 3.0.3 and 3.0.4

Post by Kamaloop » Wed May 25, 2005 12:01 pm

I have a similiar problem to above except, I can't get Visual Studio to reset the view.

Any suggestions?

Have you upgraded both the client and server to the latest version?
