Client configuration 'Automically connect usin this profile'

Post by bpd » Wed Mar 09, 2005 12:18 pm

Automically connect using this profile used to work a treat prior to v3.0.2 now it seems to keep turning itself off.

All of my developers keep constantly ticking this option and yet it keeps becomming un-ticked and asking them to specify their login.

Is this a configuration option that eludes me? :?:

Are you using the standalone client or the IDE client? If IDE, which IDE version?

If the problem is IDE related, it might be that VS is overwriting the state file. See http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=2474 for info on how to make it stick.

If it is standalone client, look in the registry at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SourceGear\Vault\Client\Settings at the AutomaticLogin value.

One other thought: a profile can only be set to automatically login if a password is specified.

We are using VS.NET 2003 IDE integration and the standalone client - we use a combination of the two.

The registry key is set to True when you click the tick and login to the Vault Standalone Client, but seems to get itself set back to false again after a period of time?

Im going to set it manually and keep an eye on it
