Checkin Comments from vs.net 2k3

Checkin Comments from vs.net 2k3

i set our repositories to require checkin comments. when i check in a file from vs.net 2k3 it failes telling me comments are required. how do you add these comments from within the vs.net ide, i dont see this anywhere?

In the pending checkins tab, there is a button that says "Comments", and you can enter them there. Also, you can set VS.Net options to bring up a dialog during a checkin, and it will allow you to enter comments there as well.

See Tools->Options->Source Control->General, and there is a setting for "Display silent checkin commands in menus", and make sure it is NOT checked.

Note that this is a Visual Studio option and dialog - Vault is not involved at all VS tells it to actually commit the files.

thank you. That solved the problem. i actually saw this earlier but did not want to just go clicking check boxes without knowing what would happen.
