I have a lot of problems with repository options.
The largest problem is that each time I create a repository most options are wrong for my purpose. Vault sets some defaults and these do not meet my needs. We need some additional file types to be mergable. We need keyword expansion is certain file types. Etc.
Even if I have made sure that Vault shows same options for "All repositories" adding a new repository will come with the defaults and "All repositories" will show "(Multiple Values)".
It seems that a few of the options can be set for "All Repositories", but "Mergable Files" and "Keyword file types" are disabled.
A powerfull but relatively simple solution would be to have repository kinds: each repository is of a certain kind, and the options are for the kind.
A (perhaps) simpler but less powerfull semi-solution would be to make it possible to set all options for "All Repositores" and to use such an value as default for new repositories (and thus retaining the same value for "All Repositories").

You are correct, mergeable file extensions shouldn't be disabled when all repositories are selected and the extensions differ. That is a bug. That field should still be editable when "Multiple Values" is displayed (like the file and folder exlusions are). We will fix this.
