Vault splash screen not disappearing, not usable

On my machine, when I start up the Vault client the splash screen never goes away, even after an hour.

The status bar at the bottom says Ready. Also I can click on the menus but almost all of them are disabled. The ones that are enabled are the "File - Connect to server", "File - Exit", and all the "Help" menus. But none of the menus actually do anything when I click on them, except for the About menu. That is the only one that works.

If I click on "Connect", it then locks completely.

I am stuck, please help.

I forgot to include the version information before. This is from another machine, but I have double checked the vault client version and they are the same. 2.0.6.2219. Both are Windows 2000 SP4

You might try disabling the splash screen:

Hi,

I disabled the splash screen, but still most of the menus are disabled like before, and it never shows any items in the main window. None of the repository folders and items show up.

Also, I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it, but that did not help.

The splash screen goes away when all of the .Net web service components have been initialized. It's possible that you need to uninstall and reinstall the .net framework on your client computer.
