Problem updating to Vault3 serial numbers

We purchased 5 user pack with Gold support on the 15-Nov-04. According to posts to this forum we need to upgrade these to the new Vault 3 serial numbers. I assume this is still the case even if we didn't install v2?

Any way, went to the upgrade page, copied and pasted the license serial numbers we received in the email confirming order. Hit submit and get the following error back:
"This gold serial number appears to be invalid."

Please help asap as I'm mid way through an install.
