Vault 2.0.6 - Replicate a label

Post by Eric Willeke » Tue Nov 30, 2004 9:35 am

Is there any way (command line, API, etc) to create a new label such that the assocated folder and file versions exactly match an existing label? We use a "floating" label to represent the currently reviewed and approved code sets, and we'd like to be able to capture a label that baselines that set of files periodically.

Thanks!
Eric

You can label any version of a file or folder, but you need to pick it by version number, not by label, so you'd need to find the version number associated with the label.

You can also rename a label by selecting the label in the Show Labels dialog.

You can't currently label a label if the label has been changed (promoted), and no longer is associated with a single version of a folder.

Hope that helps
