I have lurked through most of these forums and tried as much as I could.
I am using XP Pro, Vault 2.0.6, MS SQL 2000, ASP.NET 1.1.4322
I tried remapping ASP.NET, reinstalling the .NET framework, reinstalling Vault.
Everything seems to install perfectly, then I cannot connect to either the Admin tool or GUI client.
My password is correct, using Admin as the username and localhost.
I can browse to http://localhost/vaultservice successfully but not the web service page. I get a 404 or "Page Cannot be displayed error."
I think it may be a SQL server access issue but I cannot figure it out. I installed with both the first (ASP.NET) and second option (SYSTEM) accounts.
Any ideas ?

It works now
Uninstalling the .NET Framework and then using Windows Update to install the very latest version of 1.1 (instead of the saved copy I had) seemed to fix the problem.
