I need to move Vault Standard Server (9.1.0.584) to a new Windows 2019 Server. From the compatibility chart it says it will require version 10.x. What is the procedure for migrating/upgrading the server piece to a new 2019 server? I want to leave the database where it's at (SQL Server 2016).
Thanks,
Bill

Re: Instructions for moving Vault Server
Hi Bill,
I have copied below the Vault 10 Upgrade guide:

Since you will not be moving the Vault database and SQL Server and only the Vault Server, you can install the latest version of Vault server and choose the option to keep and reuse the same database when prompted.
Thanks,
Tonya

Re: Instructions for moving Vault Server
My apologies if I should have opened a new topic. Couldn't see how to do that and this topic is relevant to my needs.
We are currently running Vault 10 Standard. Our Vault web server is Windows Server 2016 and our Vault SQL server is Windows Server 2016 running SQL Server 2016.
We need to migrate off of Windows Server 2016 and move to Windows Server 2019. We are NOT planning on moving to a different version of SQL Server. We will continue to use SQL Server 2016.
Somehow, we got out of sync with Vault Client and Vault Server. We are running with Vault Client – 10.1.0.1168. We are running with Vault Server 10.0.2.936 and so we will want to bring the version of Vault Server up to the same as our Vault Client.
What is the best process to follow to make this happen?
Thanks you for your time and your help!

Re: Instructions for moving Vault Server
Hello,
If you are simply upgrading your OS version, there isn't anything additional that need to be completed for Vault.
I have copied below the Vault upgrade guide:
viewtopic.php?f=13&t=11648&
My suggestion would be to upgrade everything (Client and Server) to the latest Vault version 10.2.
Please let me know if you have any additional concerns.
Thanks,
Tonya
