Problem with Source Gear Vault

Post by DeltaBank » Tue Nov 23, 2004 2:24 pm

When attempting to add a new folder to a new empty respository, the operation fails and the following message is repeated endlessly in the messages tab:

11/24/2004 3:18:30 AM] Preparing data to begin transaction
[11/24/2004 3:18:30 AM] Beginning transaction
[11/24/2004 3:18:30 AM] Create folder $/Project_Name
[11/24/2004 3:18:30 AM] Ending the transaction
[11/24/2004 3:18:30 AM] Server unavailable for transaction end
[11/24/2004 3:18:30 AM] Transaction failed
[11/24/2004 3:18:30 AM] Found and corrected problems with the a local baseline file. Retrying the transaction.

If anyone can tell me why this is happening and how to fix it, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks. :? :? :?

Could you look at your Vault server log file to tell me if there is any problem logged about the transaction?

Attached is the SQL Server Log on the Source Gear server.
If there is an application log for Vault, I couldn't find it.

You can usually find the Vault server log file at:

C:\WINDOWS\Temp\sgvault\sgvault.log

Please let me know if there is anything in there for the time period where the add folder was failing.

Thanks.

Unfortunately, I am unable to attach this log because of its size.
It is too big.

Can I send it to you directly?

If so, please e-mail me at EMAILREMOVED

Thanks again.

[edit] Philip, I removed your email after I mailed you, so you don't attract spam[/edit]

Philip

Your log file contained line after line of

Code: Select all

XML stored procedures are not supported in fibers mode.
Check out this thread to resolve the problem (turn off fibers mode):
