Cannot open new window in IE 6 after installing Vault

Last week I noticed that on my laptop, (which I recently installed the Vault client software on) when clicking on a link to open a new window in IE, that the window would come up blank and stay that way forever. I searched MSDN and found the following KB article.

Yesterday I installed the Vault 2.0 client on a different machine, then I noticed the same thing; i.e. not being able to open a link in a new window.

Coincidence? maybe; but they both seemed to have exhibited the behavior directly after installing Vault software. Possibly something for your engineers to look at.

Thanks for the report - we have seen this on uninstalls of the Vault client, but not on installs. We have a KB article at http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic ... t+explorer, but it mostly just links to the same Microsoft article you linked to

I had no idea this was Vault, though!!! Has anyone found a resolution??

Upgrading to the latest IE should work, as would following the instructions in the MS knowledge base article.

... I actually couldn't so that. I already has IE 6.0 SP1 and no upgrade would work - but installing 2.0 fixed the problem.
