More details about the crash
Hello
Plateform:
Sager Notebook, 3GHz HT
Win XP Pro
There is Visual Studio 6.0 + SP5 installed and Visual Source Safe 6.0
I tried to install the SOSclassic with and without encryption. But I have the exact same crash for both.
The crash described by Eric happend right after the Question: "Would you like SourceOffSite to be your default Source Code Control Provider"
The crash happends for both Yes and No answer...
Around that: since the installation failed and I can't remove the already installed file from the ADD/Remove windows function. What do I have to delete manualy in my PC to get back to a system before the failed install. (I deleted the SourceOffSite folder and also what is my Temp folder but what else (registry key, hidden folder etc....))
Thanks
LG

I sent Eric the individual components of the SOS Classic client so that he could bypass the installer.
To remove SOS from the registry, do a search on SourceOffSite or Sourcegear and remove those entries.
You might also check under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SourceCodeControlProvider
to see if there's anything unusual there that might be causing the crash on installation.
