I'm trying to diff two files that are about 2.8GiB in size, 400k or so lines, longest line about 320k characters. When I open them in DiffMerge, I get strange errors like:
"Error!
File 1 could not be imported.
Cannot read file.
Error: can't read file descriptor 12 (error 22: Invalid argument)
/Users/josh/Documents/left.txt"
Is this expected due to limitations or is this a bug?
File size limits for DiffMerge (OS X)

Re: File size limits for DiffMerge (OS X)
Are you able to open both of the files in a basic text program?
if it's a .txt file, is another user able to open it with DiffMerge on Windows?
Are there any bad sectors on the drive?
I'm not aware of a size limit, but 2.8 GB is a very, very large text file. I haven't tested with anything that size.
